Being trans and LGBQ: A Panel Discussion

26th February 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Part of the LGBT+ History Month series.

When LGBQ trans people can be excluded and marginalised by both transphobia in LGBQ spaces and homo-, bi- and lesbophobia in trans spaces, how do we live all these aspects of our identities? How do our communities manage or fail to meet our needs, and how can we and they change this? There will be an opportunity for questions and contributions from the floor.

Speakers:
Ruth Pearce, activist, academic and musician
Jack Marr, poet and speculative fiction writer
Nardina Kaur, academic and member of Sarbat
Naith Payton, writer and reporter for Pink News
Surat Shaan Rathgeber Knan, founder of Twilight People
Gabriella Basso Ricci, postgraduate student and freelance translator

The venue is wheelchair-accessible. All welcome – no need to be a UCL student! If you have any questions or comments, please contact uclu-lgbt.officer@ucl.ac.uk.
